A number of areas will be closed for an aerial herbicide spraying operation between Monday 3rd June 2024 and Friday 28th June 2024. For public safety, the areas being treated will be closed on the day they are sprayed. Advice on specific areas to be closed will be provided a week prior to spraying.
This spraying program is being carried out to control bitou bush in Booti Booti National Park and some adjoining Crown Lands
The program is expected to take 5 to 10 days to complete, weather dependent.
The herbicide used is Metsulfuron methyl 600WG. NPWS staff will be present during the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (Drone) spray operation. Please ensure you follow the advice on all warning signs and the directions given by staff.
